Open your eyes folks.  We keep reelecting politicians to office who look out for "our interests" like keeping a military open, or bridge building project that goes nowhere when what is really happening is they, the politicians, are just filling their own pockets.  Government has lost its ideals and we are the ones to suffer while they continue to get fat.  It is the case of the tail wagging the dog.  What ever happened to the term "public servant".  An employer will hire "servants" or laborers.  We the electorate are the employers and the members of the government we elect are the laborers or "public servants".  If an employee screws they are reprimanded, demoted, or fired.  It is long overdue where we the electorate reprimand, demote, or fire politicians who are getting fat at our expense and replace them with new "public servants" who we believe to have high ideals and clear foresightedness.  If they don't live up to our expectations then replace them with someone we hope will do a better and honorable job.  Hang term limits.  This would be a self imposed mandate and do we believe that congress will actually hobble their illustrious careers.  We don't need "term limits" just remember those who are not living up to your ideals and cut the cord after one term.
